The eye of the round can often be extremely lean and when grilled often ends up dry and tough. Probably better suited to roasting or stewing. Cut into strips and tossed in a stir fry would work well also.
However, these steaks with the tiger fat content were worth a go. I did grill them in a pan and found that as long as they were not too thick and were well rested they were tender enough.
They are certainly full of flavour and worth a little extra chewing. They have to be kept underdone as cooking all the way through would ruin them.
